Effects of Dental Hygiene Students and Self-Efficacy on Problem Solving Ability

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the problem solving ability of dental hygienists and students' self-efficacy, in order to understand the relationship between self-efficacy and problem solving ability. The subjects of the survey were students surveyed in the dental hygiene department of Busan City. The consensus of opinion was the opinion rating (r = 0.741, p <0.01), The opinion rating was leadership (r = 0.706, p <0.01), The exchange of opinions was led by leadership (r = 0.652, p <0.01), Decision making was performed according to plan (r = 0.636, p <0.01), Problem recognition was evaluated by opinions (r = 0.582, p <0.01), Performance evaluations were based on opinion integration (r = 0.548, p <0.01), Cause analysis had a positive correlation in order of leadership (r = 0.433, p <0.01). The factors influencing self - efficacy on problem solving ability were, in order, opinion exchange (p <0.01), opinion integration (p <0.05), and opinion evaluation (p <0.05). As a result, it was found that there was a relationship between self-efficacy and problem solving ability. In order to improve problem solving abilities as required in the 4th industrial revolution era, program development and operation should be systematically developed to improve self-efficacy.
